Pot a Plant for Mom!
Kids are invited to help celebrate Mother's Day on
Sunday, May 11, by potting a plant for Mom - free to the first 100 visitors.
And the Dane County Timebank will once again host its popular plant
exchange from 10 til noon. Bring your healthy perennial divisions, vegetable seedlings, bulbs, houseplants, seeds, etc. to trade or sell them for time dollars. Please label them with your name and the name of the plant. Stay for a while or just drop off your plants. Most plants will be worth .25 or .5 time dollars, but you don't have to be a Time Bank member to exchange plants. Questions - call 663-0400. |

Have you ever tried Laotian foods? Scrumptious "Brunch by Tui" (pictured below) is offered every Sunday!
We're cautiously expecting a market day like last week but rain or shine, it'll be perfect weather for eating brunch with friends under our community tent.
So before you shop the market for fresh locally grown foods, stop by Tui's Juice & Smoothie cart for some curried squash, shrimp tofu spring rolls or chicken and rice.
Or get a cup of coffee and visit one of our baked goods vendors for a sweet treat!

Opening Day Brag!
by Lynette Jandl
The fourth annual Opening Day
of the market was the best yet, according to vendors and shoppers. The weather was sunny, warm and inviting. Some of our 20 vendors sold out and will bring even more next week. They said they did a lot better than they had expected and were all very pleased with their sales and the great turn-out. Shoppers enjoyed being outdoors after that long rough winter and said they were glad to be able to eat fresh produce again. The Cinco de Mayo entertainment was lively, colorful and added a wonderful festive flair to the 2008 Opening Day! (Pictured: Volunteers Mimi, Bianca and Suzette)
