The Northside Farmers Market is a non-profit community enterprise. It is one of the newest and fastest growing farmers' markets in Dane County. In keeping with the innovative spirit of Madison's Northside, we are surpassing what defines the traditional farmers' market. Our fundamental principles include:

• Providing all of us with an abundant selection of high quality, locally grown foods.
  The market accepts Quest, WIC and Senior FMNP vouchers.
• Supporting our local agricultural entrepreneurs who are increasingly important
  today in ensuring that we have the best and safest food possible.
• Educating the community about traditional foods and the history of local
  agriculture in an attempt to preserve (and expand upon) our rich heritage.
• Promoting nutrition and the market by hosting dinners for neighborhood
  groups and seniors.

Going beyond the traditional market concept, the NFM is also a local gathering spot with special events, educational opportunities and lively entertainment throughout the season. The market grounds are specifically designed with a community tent where neighbors can meet and socialize. Our market is enhanced by the presence
of community groups such as:

• Dane County Timebank - An award-winning organization that encourages volunteerism and sponsors fun market events such as our Pet Parade and Wellness Fair.
• Northside Artists Group - Promoting the visual arts at the market by hosting fun art activities for kids and exhibiting works by local artists.
  
• And non-profit groups like Friends of Lakeview Hill, Friends of Cherokee Marsh, the
  Master Gardners Program, and others that reflect our neighborhood interests.

All of this is only sustained by the generous contributions of friends and volunteers like you who make it possible.
