Special Events for Sunday, December 20th
Last market of the season - just in time for the holidays! This market will feature a visit from the non-profit group REAP. They have a Farm to School grassroots initiative whose goal is to enhance Wisconsin schools' existing meal programs by introducing fresh, nutritious, local and sustainably grown food to children. For more information visit their website (link).
Our guest chef for this week is Chef David McKercher, from the Mermaid Café, who will be serving Crepes.
The Lindbergh School Crafts and Tamale booth will be up and running again this week, featuring cool crafts items and delicious hot tamales made by Lindbergh parents, students, and teachers. Proceeds from the booth will help fund the Lindbergh school garden, and provide field trip aid for low-income families.
As always, Brady's Market Café will be at the market and for the last time this year, you can enjoy the sounds of the season from harpist Cora Wiese Moore.

A New Vendor... and a New Kid on the Block!
We have a new vendor this Sunday, Cupcakes-A-Go-Go. They are an artisanal cupcake bakery providing unique varieties of gourmet and specialty cupcake flavors, providing a rich and delicious experience to all.
Meet them this Sunday and see all of their tantalizing flavors at their website (link).

Congratulations to Katy and Mark Dickson from Christensen Farms. They missed the market a few weeks ago to celebrate the arrival of a new family member.
Pictured below is the happy and businesslike (eggs anyone?) brother of the new arrival.

Northside Banner Celebration
by Dale Matthews
The long awaited Pole Banners project for the Northside will be installed in December and January onto metal Street Light poles in our Northside Neighborhood.
Look for 9 of the 12 double-faced banners to be seen soon on the entrances to the Northside on Northport Dr. and Packers Ave.
At 11am at the market, there will be a dedication party to celebrate the completion of these banners. Learn about the Northside artists who created the banners and the businesses that supported the project. (Spoiler: The Northside Farmers Market was one of them).
As well as having banners on display, refreshments (cake!) will be served. See you there! |
